Center Profile: Advoz was formed in 2017 from the merger of two long-standing programs in Lancaster: Conflict Resolution Services (formerly Lancaster Mediation Program) and Center for Community Peacemaking (formerly LAVOPR). Advoz offers mediation services able to handle family, custody-divorce, business, neighborhood and elder issues, as well as facilitations and trainings in mediation, communication and conflict resolution. In addition, Advoz has an active dialogue-focused Restorative Justice program in referral relationships with Lancaster County's juvenile justice system and Youth Aid Panels among other justice system entities. The programs include Restorative Justice (Victim-Offender) Conferencing, Making Peace Workshops for Youth-Parents and Circle Process (Peacemaking Circles) for groups. Together they empower participants to address and heal the harm, and make our communities safer.
